Aveda Nutriplenish Fights Winter Hair Blues

The cold winter always means transitioning to different hair and skin products. The dry air wreaks havoc; my wavy hair goes straight and my oily skin gets sensitive and dry. I was using the Aveda Be Curly line but my hair stylist suggested the brand new Nutriplenish line instead. I love it!

The Nutriplenish line smells a lot less earthy than most Aveda products. The scent is more floral, so die hard Aveda fans might not like it, but those of you who couldn’t tolerate the Aveda scents in the past might be quite happy with the change. It smells floral without the strong chemical scent of most shampoos and conditioners, which is A+ in my book.

Despite being told by a hair stylist that leave-in conditioner is just watered down conditioner, I like using leave-in spray conditioners more than I like simply leaving conditioner in my hair (which is a good option if you have coarser thick curls). The Nutriplenish leave-in conditioner is my favorite! It is moisturizing without weighing my hair down and it works well a curl reviving spray in the morning.

Aveda is pricey at over $30 a pop per bottle, but if you can swing it, Nutriplenish is worth the extra investment.

Bonus: Aveda has a worthy mission to protect the environment.
